Built as a pub in 1891, but if it seems to have changed little since then on the surface, rest assured that the Rose and Crown is geared up for the demands of modern pub-goers who expect, great food and drink, and a warm welcome for all.
A single bar pub which is split up into intriguing alcoves and corners, the pub specialises in quality Home cooked food with a varied menu in the evenings with lighter meals and snacks at lunchtime.
Children are always welcome at the Rose and Crown, and we have a menu just for them. On warmer days they make a beeline for the pub's large garden and play equipment.
Generally a pub with a quieter atmosphere, the Rose and Crown lets its hair down once a month for an evening of live Jazz music and also caters for parties and wedding receptions in the function room.
We have a skittle alley function room & Wi-Fi too.
....'We found your pub out on a country drive & thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The welcome was lovely, the beer & especially the Westons scrumpy was fantastic! The food was fabulous & even though we live in Bristol we would like to make this our new local!!............
